That means you’ll constantly be filling in potholes, cracks, and breaks in the asphalt. Chances are high that if you have a major parking lot drainage issue, at the minimum you’ll need to have the asphalt layer removed and paved every few years. That’s also an expensive maintenance task. The good news is that your parking lot drainage problem may have a simple solution.
For example, the storm drains may need to be cleaned. They tend to fill up and clog unless cleaned out at least two (2) times or more per year. Even if it’s a more complicated parking lot drainage issue, that’s the first thing that should be taken care of before you waste more money having the area re-paved with asphalt. The drainage problem is not just going to go away like magic.
