If you own or manage a building than you know how important it is to keep the property well maintained. However, most property owners and managers fail to maintain the water pipes and sewer pipes. This is due to the fact that those items are usually out of sight, which means they are also out of mind. Water pipes and sewer lines are typically located inside of ceilings, floors, and walls inside of the building, and buried underground outside of the building. Although the water and sewer system is built to stand the test of time, they do need to be maintained on a regular basis in order to work properly. Think of it this way.

The engine in your vehicle is built to work for the long haul, but if you fail to have the oil changed on a regular basis it will start to diminish the output of the engine. Eventually the engine will stop working altogether. Your plumbing system works in a similar manner. If you don’t have it serviced on a regular basis it simply will not work as effectively as it should. For example, the drains will begin to drain slower, the toilets will not work properly, and the water pressure will be reduced. Eventually, the drains will stop working, the toilets will no longer flush, and the water pressure will be reduced down to a slow trickle.

The good news is that can be avoided by including a professional hydro jetting service as part of your property maintenance plan. At this point you may be asking yourself what is hydro jetting and how does it work? In essence, hydro jetting is the most effective way to clean plumbing pipes and sewer lines from the inside. It is also the best method to remove clogs within those pipes. Hydro jetting works in the following manner. A hydro jetting nozzle, that is attached to a flexible cable, is inserted into the plumbing system. The insertion is made at a pre-existing access point.

As the nozzle is fed through the pipes it sprays highly pressurized water that literally scrubs the interior surfaces of the pipes. The hydro jetting process removes any buildup within the pipe walls that restricts water flow and sewer flow through the pipes. Buildup within the pipes is caused by a great deal of things. For example, soap scum and hair that go down the drains, and minerals that are contained within the water itself. Often times, tree roots invade the sewer pipes that are buried underground. Hydro jetting literally cuts those roots away and allows the sewage to flow freely from the building into either the main sewer line on the street, or a septic tank buried on the grounds.
