Are you looking for a Massachusetts hydro excavation company that does the job the right way the first time and every time? If so, your search is now over. Jolin Paving & Excavating is here and at your service. We have helped numerous contractors, construction companies and utility companies with our hydro excavation services. If you’re not familiar with the hydro excavation process or are not 100% percent sure of exactly what it is and how it works, then please keep reading. In essence, hydro excavation is a technologically advanced excavation process that does not rely on large, heavy-duty excavation equipment or hand shoveling of any kind.

Instead of shovels, your Massachusetts hydro excavation company utilizes highly pressurized water and an industrial vacuum truck to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and in the most cost effective manner possible. Here’s how it works. A highly trained and vastly experienced technician will use a special hydro excavation hose and nozzle to spray the pressurized water at the ground. The pressurized water breaks up the soil and turns it into slurry. As this is occurring, another highly trained and vastly experienced technician will use a hose that is attached to a vacuum truck to remove or suck up the slurry. The vacuum hose can be as long as 25 or even 30 feet.

That means the excavation can take place as far away as 25 or 30 feet from the vacuum truck. Once the slurry is sucked up it can be temporarily stored in the vacuum truck. Once the hydro excavation job is complete the vacuum truck will permanently dispose of the slurry. Since the hydro excavation method is so precise and only removes the amount of soil needed to install the foundation, pipeline, conduit, or whatever is being installed at the job site there is no need to backfill the hole in the ground. In essence, the hydro excavation method is like using a laser cutter to excavate the ground.

Speaking of which, it can be utilized year round even when the ground is frozen. This is due to the fact that the highly pressurized water can be heated up for frozen ground use in the winter. Just think about how smooth an excavation job can go if you eliminate all of that heavy-duty excavation equipment and back fill from the equation. The bottom line is that the hydro excavation process saves both time and money when compared with the traditional excavation method. In fact, it can save weeks of excavation work and tens of thousands of dollars in wages, fuel, and time saved.
