Did you know that our hydro jetting services are a real blast? Well, at least they blast the inside of your sewer pipes in order to remove clogs and keep the line nice and clean. At this point you may be wondering what does hydro jetting actually mean and how does it work? In essence, it’s a technologically advanced method that utilizes highly pressurized water in order to maintain and clean the inside of your sewer pipes. The fact of the matter is that sewer lines tend to become blocked from time to time. The blockage or clogs are caused by many things. For example, tree roots often invade the sewer pipes that are buried underground. They enter through tiny microscopic cracks or breaks in the pipeline.
The reason this happens is due to the fact that tree roots seek out both water and fertilizer. The wastewater that flows through your sewer pipes is a viable water source. The raw sewage that flows through your sewer pipes is viable fertilizer. It doesn’t take long for the roots to grow and expand since they are being watered and fed well. Once that happens they can form into tangled messes that block or clog your sewer pipes. The best way to remove roots is to blast highly pressurized water into the pipes. That is hydro jetting in a nutshell. Well, it’s a little more complicated than that.
A trained and experienced hydro jetting technician will insert the hydro jetting hose into the sewer line through a pre-established entry point such as a drain cleanout. Once the hose is installed the technician will spray highly pressurized water through the pipes. The water literally scrubs the interior surfaces of the sewer pipes and removes any block or clogs that are in the way. The water drains out of the pipe the same way raw sewage and wastewater do when a toilet is flushed or a sink is turned on.
When the hydro jetting hose sprays the highly pressurized water through the sewer pipes, it also removes any debris that is starting to build up on the inside of the pipe surfaces. That’s why hydro jetting is also great for preventative maintenance. So, the next time you have a clog in your plumbing system, instead of plunging the toilets or calling a plumber to snake the system, contact us and we’ll send one of our hydro jetting technicians to your property right away. You should also schedule our hydro jetting services at least once or twice per year as part of your standard property maintenance program.
