Did you know that pipe jetting is a method that is used by professionals to thoroughly clean clogged and slow sewage lines at commercial and industrial properties? In essence, a blast of highly pressurized water is sprayed into the sewage system in order to remove any blockages and build up of debris within the pipes. This method works significantly better than snaking the pipes or pouring a liquid clog remover down the drain. A video pipe sewer inspection should be conducted prior to the pipe jetting service. That way the exact cause and precise location of the problem can be determined.

If the video inspection discovers that the pipes are compromised, the pipe jetting procedure can make the situation worse because the high-pressure water can actually cause the weak areas to break. If your sewer pipes are cracked or compromised in any manner, they need to be repaired immediately. Otherwise you are taking the unnecessary risk of having raw sewage back up into the building. Now that we have that nasty business out of the way, we will explain how the pipe jetting process works.

First, a nozzle is fed into a drain or into the pipe directly through an access point that is built into the system. The nozzle is self-propelled through the sewage pipes due to the pressurized water. The nozzles may differ depending on the material that is clogging the pipes, the size of the pipes, and the material that the pipes are made of. When the nozzle encounters a clog within the pipe, it uses a high-pressure stream of water that is so powerful it dissolves the materials. This holds true even if the blockage is due to thick grease, any type of fabric, or food.

Hydro jetting can effectively and quickly remove even the toughest clogs such as hair, sand, silt, scale and other materials that tend to build up on the inside of the pipe walls at commercial buildings. If you happen to own or operate a restaurant, grease and food particles can build up quickly. That is why you need to schedule a professional pipe jetting service on a routine basis. Pipe jetting should only be performed by a professional company that specializes in environmental related services.

The highly pressurized water can cause a great deal of damage to the sewer pipes if it is not applied correctly. Professionals know exactly what to look for in order to prevent any damage from occurring. The bottom line is that they have the ability to use the pipe jetting system in a way that cleans the entire system without causing any damage to the sewer pipes. If you need to have the plumbing system snaked on a constant basis, or are using a lot of liquid pipe cleaner, you are literally throwing money down the drain. Pipe jetting completely eliminates the clogs as opposed to partially removing the clogs.
