The process is powerful enough to destroy and remove the clogs, but delicate enough that it does not cause any damage to the pipes. The pipe jetting technician will use a clean-out, which is an area of the plumbing system that provides access to pipes, and insert a special hose and customized nozzle that is connected to a water tank. A pressurizing machine pressurizes the water from the tank. The pressurized water is sprayed through the hose and into the plumbing pipes.

The technician will set the correct amount of water pressure based on the situation at hand. That includes the severity of the clog in relation to the age and strength of the plumbing pipes. The pipe jetting process of removing clogs works with gravity. Plumbing systems typically utilize gravity in order to pull wastewater out of the property and into the sewage system. In essence, the pipe jetting tool works from the bottom up. For example, the hose and nozzle are inserted into the downstream part of the plumbing system, moves upstream, and works their way up through the plumbing system. The pressurized water cleans the pipes, and the debris that is displaced moves down the system where it exits into the sewer system.
