Do you own a commercial or industrial property in New England? If you answered yes to this question than you know exactly how important it is to maintain your building on a regular basis. Otherwise, you may be facing unnecessary repair bills in the near future. That means you should be well aware of our sewer video inspection services. Video inspection is the best way to know for sure if your sewer pipes are in good working order, need to be repaired, or need to be replaced. The bottom line is that you should schedule a sewer video inspection on a yearly basis, and whenever you suspect that there are problems with the sewer system.

The yearly service should be considered as a preventative maintenance measure, meaning it will either give the sewer system a clean bill of health, or help to uncover any small problems that are brewing within the pipes. That way, those small issues can be repaired before they become serious and far more expensive problems. For example, if the yearly sewer video inspection discovers that there are microscopic cracks within the sewer line, it will pinpoint the exact areas where the microscopic cracks appear so they can be easily repaired and monitored long before the pipe actually breaks.

If the pipe were to break, it could lead to raw sewage entering into the building through the toilets, sinks, and other drains. Broken sewer pipes can also lead to raw sewage leaking into the ground soil, which means it could enter in the water that we drink. In addition, when raw sewage leaks into the ground it could end up entering into local waterways such as streams, ponds, and rivers. In essence, the raw sewage is polluting the environment at this point creating a huge mess that you are responsible for cleaning up. At this point you may be curious as to how the sewer video inspection actually works.

One of our highly experienced technicians will insert a tiny, high definition video camera, that is attached to the end of a flexible cable, into the main sewer line through an established access point such as a cleanout. As the cable is fed through the sewer line it is doing two (2) things. First, the video camera is broadcasting the footage back to the technician in real time. The technician can view the footage on a laptop computer, tablet, or even a smartphone. The video camera is also recording the footage so it can be referred to at a later time. The sewer video inspection is so precise that the technician can see everything going on within the pipes.
